The Foreign Body is a collection of the most interesting X-rays of things that don’t belong and the stories behind how they got there! It is broken down into 3 categories; ingested or inhaled, weapons such as knives and bullets, and of course, the section on objects people inserted. Each x-ray has the picture and doesn’t tell you what it is at first so you can guess.  Then, the next page discusses the object, how and why it got there, and how it was removed.

Call me crazy, but if I stuck something embarrassing inside myself and it got stuck, I would throw myself into a wood chipper before I would call anyone for help. These people have guts going to the hospital knowing their story will be told for years to come.
