I am addicted to travel. Literally. If there was a support group for travel addiction, I am sure my friends would have an intervention and insist I attend every meeting. They think I have a problem, but I think my only problem is that I can’t afford to travel more. The following are my favorite travel products and they make great gifts for the travel enthusiast.
My must-have travel item that I never leave home without is a Back Magnet. I never believed in the hocus-pocus natural healing junk, but my back used to be in so much pain that I was desperate to try anything. I used to not be able to sit in a car or plane for longer than 15 minutes before I started to whimper. Now I travel internationally without a tear. I have no idea how it works, but it does.
One of my favorite gifts that I have received is a Scratch Off Map. It is so fun to scratch off the Countries when you return home. Last year, I looked at mine and realized I had a large space in Northern Africa that hadn’t been scratched off, so I dragged my husband to Morocco, just so I could scratch off something in that area.
I recently bought a Foot Hammock to take with me on long flights. You hang it over the tray and then close the tray. It allows you to have a place your feet. I have long legs so it is nice to be able to adjust the straps and change my position often. It makes it feel more like you are in a nice recliner at home than the sardine box that you are really crammed into.
If you travel internationally, then the Real-Time Translator is a must. It allows you to understand 36 languages, so you don’t seem like a dorky tourist. Well, you might still look like a dorky tourist, but at least you will sound better.
My favorite travel book is Atlas Obscura: An Explorer’s Guide to the World’s Hidden Wonders. They also have a calendar, so I love both. This has off-the-beaten-path places that you must see before you die that are around the World. It has helped me to add to my bucket list. Now I have so many things on my list that I need to live to be 160-years old to see them all.
I like being in the moment and having new experiences when I travel, but sometimes that means I forget to document it with pictures. These Camera Sunglasses allow you to record what you are doing. Climbing the Grand Canyon and to exhausted to hold a camera? Running with the Bulls and afraid to stop to take a video? No problem! Just put on your sunglasses, click record, and then enjoy your moment.
